We're now 4 days into the PacTour and so far each show has had an amazing turnout! Saosin, InnerPartySystem and P.O.S. are all great artists and we're so excited to be out touring with them.

Anyway, we wanted to thank everyone that entered our twitter contest on Friday. The contest had such an great turnout, we decided to start another Twitter contest that we'll be running the entire length of the PacTour.

To Enter:

-Attend one of the PacTour shows

-Take a picture of us at the show.

-Post the picture as a TwitPic on Twitter along withe text "@EyeAlaska on the #PacTour in (city of the show)."

-Promote your TwitPic to encourage people to comment on it!

We're all packed for the PacTour, we've done our celebration at the PacTour pre-party last night, so now it's time to hit the road! Our first stop for the tour is tonight in Los Angeles at the House of Blues! As you may know "Genesis Underground" is finally here. For me, and all of Eye Alaska, this means a lot of things are about to change. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Change is my drug of choice. I need that constant sway to keep me on my toes. To keep me truly alive.

This last year getting signed, being on tour, making a record have opened up my eyes to a world that needs change. Musically, but most of all personally. We’ve been given this platform, this chance to have a voice, and however big that platform may be, we want to use it. A lot of bands are so concerned with being "rockstars" that they forget they have a chance to make a difference in people's lives.

This album may take a couple listens for some people to understand, but when people DO get it there is a connection on another level. Eye Alaska is about so much more than music and I hope people can see that vision.

I'm excited to start the journey with all of you.

I feel like the underground music scene used to be a place where one
could experiment and make art through music. It seems now there has become
this mold that never before existed.
There is a small movement of people starting to break this mold again.
I started calling it the "Genesis Underground". It's the people who are
willing to step out of the box first and influence those around them
to do the same.

With that being said, "Walk Like a Gentleman" is now going to be
available for all of you to download at the iTunes store. We really
thought this song dabbles in many of the elements found on Genesis
Underground. However, I don't think a person can fully understand who
or what Eye Alaska is by listening to one song. Every single song is a
part of a story. Each individual track is a piece and a feeling like a
score of a movie.  The album is meant to run the gamut of human
emotion. The highs and lows and everything in between.
We hope that you can see the vision.
